The Watermelon is a story without seeds, a quirky, zany romantic comedy about how really weird things can happen. A disenchanted fellow receives an unexpected inheritance from his long lost stepfather, a gift so big that he has to park it outside his little home. He has no idea what kind of eccentric and odd people will be drawn to it, including the woman who will change his outlook on life, love, and the art of wearing bunny slippers.

Excellent script, excellent acting by Will Beinbrink. He must be a director's dream to work with -- smart, witty, sexy to boot. Why isn't he Hollywood's leading man? I really liked the crazy step-sister too, and the crazy artist girl, and the crazy old stepfather. Lots of crazy people in this movie, with Patsy Kline singing "Crazy." Maybe they were crazy to make this movie. Someone is crazy -- the director or the writer, crazy fun that is.
