You heard them playing on the Beach Boys hits, on the Mamas and the Papas' recordings, on Frank Sinatra records, on Monkees' singles and they were considered Phil Spector's Wall of Sound. Simply put, you heard them everywhere. They have performed on more number one singles than the Beatles and they were one of rock and roll's most legendary bands… but more than likely, you never heard their name but if you did, you’d call them the Wrecking Crew.
The Wrecking Crew’s lives and story are remarkable. Tedesco's son, Denny Tedesco, knew it well enough to see that it had to be told to more than a small circle of friends. Just prior to his father's death and fueled by his love for this behind-the-scenes band, Danny Tedesco set out to film members of the Wrecking Crew and capture their story firsthand. Filmmaker scheduled to attend. |

I absolutely enjoyed watching this documentary and look forward to buying the DVD when it becomes available. If you enjoyed learning about the Funk Brothers then you will also really enjoy learning about The Wrecking Crew who also were responsible for doing the background music for so many artists.
