Based on a story by William Gay, Scott Teems' THAT EVENING SUN is a classic tale of men and the land. Abner Meecham (Hal Holbrook) is an aging Tennessee farmer who leaves his retirement community to return to his land and get back to work. Upon his arrival, Meecham discovers Lonzo Choat (Ray McKinnon), an old nemesis, has moved onto his farm with his family in the hopes of buying the place out from under his feet. When their paths collide, things go from bad to worse in this tense, award-winning drama.
